In my memories, I have once fallen into a river. That’s indeed a horrible experience to me. It happened in a summer vacation. I was ten-year-old then. My family and I went to “The International Children’s Folklore&Folk game Festival”. It was so crowded there I almost got lost several times. By the time we reached the river bank, I saw many spectacular dragon boats along the river side. Many sailors jumped into the boats. Out of curiosity, I imitated them and jumped in the same way. Something terrible happened when I did this. I fell into the water because I couldn’t jump so far. And because of nervous, I started to sink. Fortunately, the sailors on the boats quickly jumped into water and pulled me up. That was a close call!
Because of this experience I had learned a lesson “Don’t do something beyond your ability.” A because of this experience, I hated water and swore not to swim any more in order not to be drowned.
